Abdomen Liposuction
What is Abdomen Liposuction?
Abdomen liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat from the abdominal area. The procedure is typically performed under general anesthesia, and involves making small port incisions (4mm) in the skin through which a narrow tube called a cannula is inserted. The cannula is used to suction out the excess fat cells from the abdomen, resulting in a flatter and more contoured appearance.
Abdomen Liposuction before and after
Abdomen liposuction is a popular cosmetic procedure, particularly among those who have struggled to achieve a flat stomach through diet and exercise alone. The procedure can be performed on both men and women, and is often combined with other cosmetic procedures such as a tummy tuck or breast augmentation. The recovery period after abdomen liposuction typically involves a few days of rest and mild discomfort, followed by several weeks of wearing a compression garment to help reduce swelling and support the healing process. Patients are generally able to return to work and normal activities within a week, although strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for 4 weeks after the procedure.
As with any surgical procedure, there are risks associated with abdomen liposuction, including infection, seroma, hematoma and adverse reactions to anesthesia. During your first consutation, Dr. Gautam Reddy will advise you the best treatment plan suited to your requirement.
FAQ'S
No. Liposuction is a surgical procedure that involves removing excess fat from specific areas of the body. Liposuction can be an effective treatment for contouring and shaping specific areas of the body, but it is not designed to produce significant weight loss.

There are 2 sets of people with protruding bellies. The first are the ones with excess fat under the skin. Their muscles are well toned underneath the fat. They are good candidates for liposuction.
The other set are the ones with visceral fat or fat accumulated around the intestines. They have very little fat below the skin. They are not ideal for liposuction.

Pregnancy can cause some changes to the female body. Fat can get deposited in abdomen, flanks, thighs and arms. Lower abdomen skin will get stretched out during pregnancy and can form stretch marks and redundant skin. In such women, liposuction is combined with Abdominoplasty (trimming out the excess skin) to get a flat abdomen, and also reduces the stretch marks as an added benefit. In some women, the rectus abdominis muscle may become weak due to stretching out during pregnancy, which can lead to hernia in the future. This muscle is also strengthened during the abdominoplasty procedure. Abdominoplasty procedure is not recommended for those women who plan to get pregnant in the near future
Yes. Liposuction has best results in young people with good muscle tone, who have removable fat around their waist.
Liposuction is typically performed under general anesthesia, which means that you will be unconscious during the procedure.
Liposuction is typically performed as a day care procedure, meaning that you will not need to stay in the hospital overnight. You may need to stay in the facility for a few hours after the procedure to ensure that you are stable and can safely return home. However, in some cases, you may need to stay in the hospital for a longer period of time, depending on the extent of the procedure and your individual circumstances.
